Numbers

About 4 or 5 months ago while driving to work, I stopped at a red light behind a big truck. I looked at his tag and the first 3 numbers were 982 - I thought of Erica's birthday which is September (the 9th month) and the year she was born - '82. Then I thought to myself that I would have to look for a tag with Bobby's birthday which is February (the 2nd month) and the year he was born - '89.

And then it hit me - I don't know why it took 19 years to figure this out but the month and year of Bobby's birth are the same numbers of Erica's - only backwards.

Erica's - 9 82
Bobby's - 2 89

Pretty cool, huh?

The other reason I have a job

OK - I've said before that the reason I have a part-time job is to pay for my car - this is my other reason........ain't it beautiful? :)

I also have to say that I LOVE MY HUSBAND - he never says a negative word when I come home with more yarn - he'll usually say "Ooooo - your favorite" or in his best pirate voice say "Yyyaaaarn". He's so cute. :)

Ruffle granny square

I was browsing around looking at crochet patterns and came upon a child's afghan that was made of several sc squares with a ruffle around each square. I thought to myself "self - you can make that without buying the pattern (I'm too cheap)" - so this is what I came up with. I used a basic granny square for this one - I figure I can make at least 6 to create a tote bag - the back can be plain squares. The yarn I used is Vanna's Choice - color is Rose Mint - and I used my favorite "I" hook.

Redskins scarves

Erica asked me to make some Redskins scarves for James and his friend Dougie. These are what I came up with. I'm not really happy with the thinner scarf - I might add some more to it. We'll see what Erica says.

Ladybug's new coat

William spent the night with me last Friday and on Saturday we went out to run some errands and try to find me some pants for work. We went to about 9 different stores. At Target we found this little coat for Ladybug - she's always cold - and I think she's soooo cute. :) It was only $2.50. Vince and Bobby give me a hard time about dressing Ladybug but what do they know? They're just boys.....
