Black purse

I crocheted this black purse with 1 strand of Bernat Berella 4 and 1 strand of a boucle yarn (can't remember which one). I used my favorite L hook. The plastic canvas bottom liner still has to be covered with fabric and glued in - I'll probably do that today.

A gift from a friend

I have a great friend in my crochet group - her name is Marilyn - and she made this new siggy for me. I absolutely love it! She's also made these other graphics for me too - she's so talented. :)

Wreath & candy cane

I crocheted these little ornaments last night. The pattern for the candy cane is listed a few posts down and the little wreath pattern is my own. It's very simple.

Wreath ornament:

10 yds. size 10 thread

size 1 steel crochet hook - (I crochet tight - you may need to adjust the hook size to your preference)

1" plastic ring

Rnd 1: sc around ring to cover completely. Join with a sl st to first sc.

Rnd 2: ch 3, dc in same sc. 2 dc in each sc around. Join with a sl st to top of ch 3.

Rnd 3: ch 1, sc in same st. *Ch 2, skip next dc, sc in next dc. Repeat from * around. Ch 2, join with sl st to first sc. (You may or may not end up with an extra sc - it doesn't matter - you won't be able to tell - just skip it and join)

Attach a hanging thread and decorate as you like.

Made a couple new hooks yesterday afternoon. The pink one is my favorite.

Candy canes

I went to the Dollar Tree yesterday and bought a pack of beaded candy canes and crocheted these cuties last night. Very quick and easy but a little tricky to hold onto at first. I'm giving the red one to Phyllis and the variegated green one to Juli. I got the pattern here:

New scarf

Finished this scarf for myself last night. I used Bernat Super Stripe - the color is called B & Sea (makes no sense to me either) - and I used a J hook. The pattern I got from a friend. It's similar to the "One Skein Scarf" pattern in the "Stitch 'n Bitch" book but it's bigger, so it takes a little more than one skein.

Work Christmas Tree

I bought this little Christmas tree from the Dollar Tree and took it to work. I have no tiny ornaments for it so it sat for a couple days plain. Then I remembered all the little silver-ish washers that I would see on the shop floor and started picking them up (I was told the washers have something to do with the oil changes). I colored the washers with Sharpee markers and placed them on the branches of the tree. Looks kind of cute and fits in perfectly in a car shop.

Low calorie dessert

A friend of mine makes little cupcake ornaments so I decided to try. Her's is much cuter than mine - maybe more sprinkles and a cherry on top would be good. I got the pattern here:

Christmas candy jars

These jars will be filled with candy to give to our neighbors. I crocheted the toppers with various worsted weight yarns using a "J" hook.

Hexagon blanket

I finished this small blanket last night. It is 31" from point to point. It is crocheted with Red Heart Jeweltones and my favorite "I" hook. I'm thinking of giving it to one of my great-nieces for her baby dolls.
