~ New collar ~

Ladybug's got another new collar. She really messes them up fast so I have to keep making new ones for her. They get all frayed and filthy dirty. She needs to stay out from under the bushes and no more rolling around in the grass. Silly little girl. :)

~ dottie angel blanket update ~

I've been working on my dottie angel blanket - aka the "ordinarily extraordinary blanket" - it's going good so far. I did have a few minutes of "what?" when I was first trying to hook the second strip to the first strip, but I seem to have caught on.

My color blocks are 6 1/2" x 6 1/2" - 24 dc x 14 rows. I'm using a "J" hook. Each section takes about 3/4 oz. of yarn. I'm using scraps and leftovers of 4-ply worsted weight acrylics - no yarn has been purchased for this project - which is good because the Lord knows I don't need to be buying anymore yarn.  :)

~ Friends ~

Marilyn's on her way to Jersey so she dropped by for a few minutes for a visit. She's a friend of mine from a crochet group I belong to - "Crochet Country" - (she's the leader and I'm the moderator). We had a good time visiting. When we wanted to take a picture, of course we had to get my yarn as a background.  :)

~ Trading ~

Yvette is a friend of mine from a crochet group I belong to - she and I just did a trade. I sent her some Dazzleaire yarn and she sent me this pretty dishcloth and hotpad. Trading is good. :)

~ Pretty pink purse ~

Bought this brand new pretty pink purse from the thrift store for $1.90. It is plastic canvas with crocheted edges and crocheted handles. The inside is lined - has a pocket - and closes with a zipper. I like it. :)

~ Blue square re-visited ~

Back in February I started this:



I got bored with it so I put it down to start something else. A couple nights ago I noticed it sitting in my crochet room, so I picked it back up to give it another try. I'm up to round 22 now - thinking of making it 30 rounds so I can try to make it into a purse.  :)

~ Scrappy round ripple - final ~

Here's my scrappy round ripple all complete. I like it. It measures 46" point to point. For the border, I crocheted 1 round of sc and then 1 round of (ch 2, skip next sc, sc in next sc).   :)

~ Thrift store goodies ~

Bought this stuff on my last trip to the thrift store. Bags of miscellaneous yarn (90 cents each bag), pillow forms (I actually bought 2 - also 90 cents each) and this cute little step stool/seat ($3.00). I think I will clean it up and use Sharpie markers to make a plaid seat - do you think that would work?   :)

I'm still working on my scrappy round ripple. Ran out of scraps, so now I'm pulling small rolls of yarn out of my yarn baskets. Right now it measures 42" across.   :)
