I finished my first baby blankie last night. I used 2 rolls of yarn from my stash - peach and cream. It measures 27" point to point.
I've already started on my 2nd blankie - it's another round ripple, but this one will have 18 points. :)
Here's the link for the pattern I use:

Thank you ladies. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Ms.Debi. What a beautiful blanket! Love the colors..Do you mind if I ask where this pattern came from? Is this from your BLOG dly's baby blankies? I have been working on this same type of blanket for a baby from a pattern on Ravelry, and I can't get it to lay flat. Did you have this problem at all? I tried rotating the points from 2dc, 2 ch, 2dc and 1 dc 1 ch, 1 dc, even 1 dc, 2 ch, 1 dc..and it doesn't work. Any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong?? Yours looks so perfect!
ReplyDeleteThanks Nicole. I put the link for the pattern I always use at the bottom of my post. I have never had a problem with this pattern - it always lays flat. :)
ReplyDeleteWell aren't I embarassed...sorry, didn't see that at all. It is the exact same pattern as the one I have on my ravelry favorites that I've used. I've followed it, not sure what I did wrong..but it def does not lay flat. Thanks for letting me know. Just goes to show you it's my error. Take care Ms. Debi!
ReplyDeleteNicole - can you post a picture of the blankie you're working on? Maybe if I can see it, I might be able to help you. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Debi for having the link for the pattern. I just love how your turned out, see me making one in the future. Yours is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteYou are so helpfull! Thank you so much! Will post as soon as I can get Jeremy to take the pic for me...your the best! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThanks eddunsmore - and you're welcome - always happy to share. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Nicole - I hope I'll be able to help. :)
It really is pretty and so fresh looking in the peach!
ReplyDeleteNow that I pulled up your pic for an up close count of stitches, is it possible that you used a repeat pattern of (small v, large v, large v) for rounds instead of (2 rounds of small v's then 2 rounds of large v's)? This might be the magic answer to my blankie bunching!!!
