I've finally finished this bag. I had originally wanted it to be a purse, but it came out way too big for me. I'm gonna use it as a tote bag instead. The inspiration came from Crochetbug and the pattern came from here. :)
I bought the handles for one of these bags but haven't started it yet... I think yours turned out great...It is a bit big though for a purse... but perfect for a bag!
Oh Debi, your tote bag is gorgeous! Love, love, love the colors! And the lining looks great! I've only ever made one small bag for my dd's prom years ago. Didn't enjoy doing the lining at all. LOL
It's beautiful! Making a purse is on my list of things to learn to do. I think I could probably do the body of the bag ok, it's the lining that would throw me.
Wow: I had to take a look at your site again. I like the mutant hat for J, but you are really great in crocheting bags, Debi! I already admired them when I started to follow you. greetings, Lia

ReplyDeleteNicole - the yarn is a chunky acrylic by Bernat.
anonymous - I don't think so, I haven't seen it anywhere. I'll keep an eye out for a written pattern, and if I come across one, I'll post it here.
