~ baby blankie #17 ~

Posted by Picasa
I've crocheted this one with the 'grannyin' around' motif - I liked working on it but I'm not too sure about the shape.  Also, I don't think that there was a need for the increase sc's on the border.  That rnd kind of rippled a little.  I'll try again some other time.  :)

  1. Oh, I like it. You know, I think I really like the shape. Very unique and so pretty.

  2. It's really amazing how fast you complete your blankets! I like the shape, it's different from all the other blankets out there in blogland.

Debi, I never asked and I didn't read your blog from the beginning: what are you doing with all the blankets? Are they for your family and friends, or charity, or do you sell them? Some posts before I read something about a hospital, are they for the babies there?

    Have a nice evening! :)

  3. Thank you very much ladies. :)

Barbara - my post on Feb. 21st will explain everything. It's a nice idea I got from another blogger. :)

  4. I LOVE this. How cool!!! How did you connect the circles? I would love to learn to connect motifs together :)

  5. I absoutely love it! Where can I find the pattern? I want to make one too :D

  6. Yay!! I'm so glad you opened up your blog again!! I really missed being able to come by and see you. I was sick during the time you must have shut it down and didn't know you had until you did. I've continued to check back and am so happy to see you're here!!

    Love your blanket!

    Blessings - Julie

  7. Thanks ladies. :)

BumbleBri - click on the link on my sidebar that says 'joining grannies' and that will explain the way to do it.

Madeleine - the picture of the motif is posted on May 14th. There are no directions since it's a very basic pattern, but if you click on the picture and then click on it again, you'll be able to see how to crochet it. Remember that my beginning ch 2's do not count as a stitch.

  8. I love the way that the patterned motifs (with the variegated yarn) are sprinkled throughout the piece and enhance the look of the whole thing. Lovely.

  9. Debi, I love this. As always, great work!

  10. You're welcome Madeleine.

    Thanks glor.

  11. I really like the blanket, but like you, I'm not crazy about the shape. I think it would be extremely pretty if you could figure out a way to square it up. Thanks for sharing.

  12. so pretty, I just love the way you work with yarn.. :))

Thanks for taking the time to leave a message - it always puts a smile on my face. If you have a question - post it here and check back - I will always answer you. :)
