First, I want to show how I hold my crochet hook when I'm crocheting. It's much better for my hand with a handle. It's not right - it's not wrong - it's just the way I do it. :)
Second, I'd like to show off baby blankie #18. It is an 18-point round ripple. I crocheted it with the bag of mill-end yarn that I got from AC Moore and a 'J' hook. It measures 29 1/2" from point to point.
BumbleBri - I really can't write out a proper pattern because this is based on Angelfire's pattern (the link is on my right side-bar), but I did write my notes on how I did it. See this post:
Another happy and friendly looking blanket - I just love your work, Debi! I hold my hook the same way - I can't imagine holding it like a pencil, like some people do. Okay, maybe I can imagine holding it like that, but not w-o-r-k-i-n-g with it :)
Ohhhh... how wonderful it looks ... reminds me of soft ice cream or sweet candys ... I love these colors so much. And Debi, I hold my crochet hook just like you.
I wish you a nice Weekend and much time to crochet, Marion
Thanks for taking the time to leave a message - it always puts a smile on my face. If you have a question - post it here and check back - I will always answer you. :)
This afghan is very pretty. About how much time does it take you to complete?
ReplyDeleteYou hold your yarn just like I do! I've never seen anyone else hold theirs like me before!
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful. Don't you just love those mill ends. I buy them all the time. Really love your blog and am glad you are back. Happy crocheting.
ReplyDeleteThanks ladies. :)
ReplyDeleteCrochetnQuilt - it usually takes a few weeks of evening crocheting to complete a blankie.
Summerysmile - great minds think alike. :)
Anonymous - I'm liking the mill-end bags - 5 skeins for $6.99 is such a great deal.
