~ giant granny crochet-a-long progress ~
Angie from Le monde de Sucrette is having a giant granny crochet-a-long challenge. If you'd like to join in, you can check out her blog for more information by clicking on the 'giant granny crochet-a-long' button posted over on the right sidebar. Right now there are 55 lovely ladies that are crocheting a-long. There is also a flickr group, and a Ravelry group was just opened yesterday.
Here's my progress so far:
GO, GRANNY GO!!! Hahahaa! I am so happy you are doing this with me. It's great because I follow your blog, so I feel like we are actually doing it together :) Speaking of wich, I better get some more rounds on mine!
ReplyDeleteLooking great Debi! Cheerful and fun colors. I'll have to just watch yours and the others progress for now, I have too many WIPs on my plate (is there really any such thing?). :-) Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteIt looks wonderful, Debi! Have you decided how large it will be, yet?
ReplyDeleteI love your colors Debi. Such a happy blanket! It's great we are doing this in a group because with my severe crocheter's ADD(!) I need a bit of support to get through the larger and larger rounds!! Granny's not growing the way she used to ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks ladies. :)
ReplyDeleteBarbara - I haven't decided how big yet. I thought that it was going to be a baby blankie, but I decided to keep going. I'll probably make it big enough for me when I'm sitting on the couch crocheting. :)
Looks great. It's neat how many people have now joined in this project!
ReplyDeleteYa just gotta love those little and big grannies. I did one for a friend in about 8 skeins of a variegated yarn and she loved it. Thank you Debi for stopping by and the info on labeling photos. I will check it out :)
ReplyDeletehow cool! Giant granny square blankets are the best. Mine is just finished and I already planning on making a new (winter) one...
ReplyDeleteThe colors are mesmerizing! How big is it?
ReplyDeleteWhat? Only women doing this? I would join in and be the token male but I just have so many other things that I'm working on at the moment I just can't justify starting anything else.
ReplyDeleteThanks ladies. :)
ReplyDeleteCrochetBlogger - yeah, it's pretty neat.
Thanks amazey - right now it measures 31".
Susanne - you're welcome.
Richard Rose - we all understand that situation - maybe next time.
Lookin' good, Debi! :D
