~ Erica's CAPS scarf ~
My daughter Erica asked me to crochet her a Washington Capitols scarf - just plain old red and blue. I wanted to add white fringe, but she didn't want that. The scarf is just double crochet - back and forth, back and forth, back and forth - kind of boring really. I thought I'd never get finished. Erica likes it and it looks like Missy likes it too. :)

...and I'm drooling over the yarns behind Missy's left hand!! Beautiful. ;-)
ReplyDeleteThe scarf looks great. Must have worked up pretty quickly. For some reason, dc seems to go faster for me than sc. Thanks for stopping by. Hope your day is great. Tammy
ReplyDeleteThe scarf is very pretty, Debi. :)
ReplyDeleteYou did a good job on it!
ReplyDeleteGreat job I also did a scarf with double crochet back and forth i to thought I'll never finish I like to mix up stitchs and it goes much faster.
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone. :)
ReplyDeleteMindy - I bought that yarn at Michaels - it's Loops & Threads Impeccable - color is 'holland ombre'. It's very pretty with the white, pinks and lime green. I'm going to crochet a baby blankie with it. :)
Hello! I personally think sc is the worst it's like you'll never finish at all at least with dc one can see progression. The scarf is cute:)
ReplyDeleteLooks terrific. I love the way that the little bit of blue pops off of the red.
ReplyDeleteAin't she stylin?
ReplyDeleteI sorry, but that's just what comes to mind.
Beautiful scarf!
Thanks ladies. :)
ReplyDeleteCro-Shay-Inator - she does look like she thinks she's cool, doesn't she. Must be the shades. :)
She looks great! That scarf does look lovely and warm.
ReplyDeleteI just noticed Missy's nail polish and it looks like earrings as well? I need style tips off her, she's so well put together! haha.
:)
Thanks Kim. My neice painted Missy's fingernails and toenails and I put the earrings on her. :)
ReplyDeleteI get bored with stuff like that too. I wish I had a Missy...I looked at buying one but couldn't see paying what they wanted for one.

ReplyDeleteThanks ladies. :)
ReplyDeletePeggy - I don't have a pattern written up for this scarf - it is just dc's back and forth.
