~ vacation scrappy round ripple ~
Finally finished this scrappy round ripple last night. I'm glad to be done with it really - it was getting kind of tricky to wrangle it on my lap while crocheting. I used all 3 scrappy yarn cakes (27 oz) and my pink polka-dot 'J' hook. It measures 49" point to point. :)
Lovely as useual!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend!

ReplyDeleteVery pretty Debi. :-)
ReplyDeletegreat work deb love all the colours.
ReplyDeleteHi Debi, I just love your scrappy ripple. I have a question about the yarn winder. When you add a new color, do you tie the ends together and what do you do with the ends when your crocheting. Do you have to go back and weave them in? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Debbie, Another question. What pattern did you use to make the afghan on the bottom left of your header. It is absolutely gorgeous. I just love working with varigated yarn. I have tons. lol

Thanks everyone. :)
ReplyDeleteLinda - I tie a knot about 1 1/2" from the ends. I just leave them out when I'm crocheting - I kinda like it that way. I did weave the ends in on one scrappy blanket I crocheted but it was a real pain in the rear.
The pattern I used for the blue bordered blanket (I believe) is my 'squircle version 2' pattern. It's posted here:

I also added a solid round of dc to the squircles before ending off. :)
Love the scrappy round ripple!! It's stunning.

It's Lovely!
ReplyDeleteI don't usually much like the scrappy yarn look, but this is sensational!
ReplyDeleteThank you all so much. Your comments make me smile. :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks great Debi. I love any project that uses up scraps of yarn. I have always believed in waste not, want not and hang on to all sorts of odd bits and pieces of yarn. My mil use to keep little scraps also, she used them to tie baby quilt layers together. Guess it rubbed off on me too, lol. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThat is beautiful Debi, a real work of art you can see so much work has gone into it :)
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely Debi and I still can't get over how fast you make these!
