~ dishcloths & baby blankie #11b ~
I crocheted some dishcloths for my sister Julie with the Peaches & Creme cotton bought from the Dollar Tree. The cotton I used for the round ripple dishcloth (which is called 'gumdrop') was bought at a different Dollar Tree - I behaved myself and only bought 2.
I also finished up the crooked ripple as a baby blankie.
p.s. - I call it a crooked ripple because the points are uneven. :)
I love it, you really have a good eye, the colors really pop on the blanket. I also like the dishcloths.
ReplyDeleteEverything is pretty, Debi. I especially love the gum drop dishcloth....the colors in it are yummy! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat looking baby blanket Debi! The dishcloths are nice too. I'm going to have to check out our Dollar Tree. Have a nice week.
ReplyDeleteLove how the crooked ripple came out!
ReplyDeleteI bought some of the peaches and creme cotton..now I just have to do something with it..Your baby blankets always look great. You have an eye for color. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteI love the blanket! The colours look so fresh and inviting.
ReplyDeleteIt's really lovely.
Gorgeous dishcloths as well. The colours are wonderful.
The problem I'm having with the peaches & creme cottons though Debi, is that the colours look washed out and fade so quickly once you wash them. Have you had the same problems?
:)
Thanks ladies - I always love reading all your nice comments. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Kim - yes, I've found that the cottons fade. I think it must have to do with all the different water treatments because I've read on other blogs and forums that their dishcloths color doesn't fade.
Guess there's nothing really to be done about it then. I had wondered if it were just me. Although I now know of another friend who has the same problem as us as well.
ReplyDeleteSuch a shame though as they're so pretty before they fade.
:)
