Finished up this baby blankie last night. I crocheted it with Loops & Threads Impeccable and ILTY! with a 'J' hook. It measures 24" x 35". The border is 1 round of hdc and then the flat braid joining (the link is over on the right sidebar). The lovely Ladybug is our model for today.
A note about the ILTY! - I had written before saying that it was a little too expensive for me - it's $3.99 a skein - but I find myself still buying the variegated skeins. They are different, pretty and very soft. On Friday when Vince and I were out running errands I stopped in and bought a few more skeins. I couldn't help myself. :)
Debi - Thanks for showing us another beautiful baby blankie. (and including the info.) You are so talented.
ReplyDeleteI think Ladybug likes it, too!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful blanket Debi, and who can blame you for buying more yarn? Not me! xxx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I have the same problem about buying yarn. I have never used the Impeccable yarn before, but that is the brand of my last stash that I bought at Michaels.
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely....cute and cozy......:0) Love it .Have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteYou are a fast crocheter! You make about three baby blankets to my one. :) They are always so pretty. I will have to try the braid join on my next granny blanket. Thanks for sharing! (((HUGS)))Eileen

ReplyDeleteI thought the same thing about ILTY too but like you I have to get some when I'm in Hobby Lobby. I really just need to stay away from Hobby Lobby. lol. (Like that will happen)
ReplyDeleteI like your blanky...it's very pretty!
Like the granny rectangles! Nice difference from squares. :-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blanket! I love the rectangles. And your model is sweet.
ReplyDeleteI know all about not being able to help buying more yarn! I always seem to grab a few whenever I go to Walmart or Michaels. If it's on sale, all the better!
Have a wonderful week.

This is so pretty! I too love the softness of ILTY! I go cheap and whenever I know I am going out that way- I check for a 40% off coupon. I "make" my significant other go as well with a coupon in hand too. Check their website In Store Special Section and the weekly coupon is listed right there! Again love your work!
