Here's the update on my poncho - it's about halfway done and I'm not too sure about it. Missy is very kindly modeling it for me - she's roughly about my size (she's wearing my dress), so I can pretty much tell how many more rows I have to go. Hopefully I'll like it when it's done.
p.s. I'm thinking of changing her name to Manny Kin. :)

I received these granny squares in the mail today from Renee of 'Renee's Crochet'. The blue, green and yellow are so pretty together. Thanks again Renee. :)

Thinking about crocheting a baby blankie with these rectangles. Not sure yet.
Debi, I'm glad you received the squares so quickly. Guess the post office hasn't started slowing down yet.
ReplyDeleteRenee :)
Haha, Manny Kin! Love it :)
ReplyDeletexo,
wink
Manny Kin! That's great!
ReplyDeleteI just love those soft colors together: green, blue and yellow. I might have to do a baby blanket in those colors someday... add it to the list. ;-)
lol,manny kin s looking sooo cool in her shades.Love the poncho,what a great idea for measuring,have a super week,lots of love,xxx
ReplyDeleteDebi you crack me up with your display model, her name and how you are thinking or renaming her, lol, Manny Kin is so funny, reminds me of the episodes of Two and a Half Men and Manny Kin in that program. So what don't you like about your poncho? The squares you received are pretty and the rectangle would be pretty for a baby blankie. I'm sure whatever you decide to do that it will all turn out just lovely in the end....it always does.
ReplyDelete(((HUGS))) Susanne :)
Thanks Susanne. I like the poncho - I'm just not sure I will like wearing it. I hope I will. :)
DeleteYour poncho is looking good already Debi, I love the colour. I like that rectangle it makes a change from the usual shapes, I say go for it :)
ReplyDeleteThe poncho looks great so far. And I vote for a name change; Missy is great but Manny Kin is fabulous. I have a Mandy the Mannequin at my house.
ReplyDeleteLove the blue, green and yellow! Would never have thought to put those together. Great job, Renee!
I think the rectangles would look neat; a different look.
Have a blessed day :-)
Thank you all for the nice comments - I really enjoy reading them. :)
ReplyDeleteYour poncho looks great, and those squares Renee sent you are pretty! Love the idea of Manny Kin. Go for it! :D
ReplyDeleteLooking good so far. I like that style of poncho with the rounded edge instead of the pointed.
ReplyDeleteI really like that rectangle, very innovative!

Hi Debi, lovely poncho, I think it will look gorgeous on you. Manny Kin is inspired! xxx
ReplyDeleteMy dear firend Debi, Your poncho seems so nice. You know I ll make a poncho like yours after finished my rag crochet pillow project. May I ask you that you made the neck part of poncho 2 parts and sewed them next and crocheted the body part. Or this is a compact neck part that you measured your neck part size and crochet them compactly. Sorry I can't explain this so good. Is this only one part you crochet. Or two different parts you sewed front and back parts? Thank you very much. I like all your works you know. Best wishes...
ReplyDeleteThanks Beck. The poncho is crocheted all in one piece and the pattern is very, very easy to follow. If you have any problems with it, I will try to help you. :)
DeleteHola. Me gusta como te está quedando el poncho, yo acabo de empezar y voy un poco lenta.
ReplyDeletebesos
Hola. Gracias por concederme el premio Liebster Blog, gracias por pensar en mi.
ReplyDeletebesos
De nada Susana. :)
DeleteHave you thought about painting Missy's (Manny's) eyes? Love the poncho, looks like it works up quick.
ReplyDeleteI've thought of it but I'm not a good painter at all. I'm afraid I will make her look more scary. :)
DeleteThanks very much ladies. :)
