~ a question please ~

Does anyone out there have baker's twine and size 3 thread?  I need to know if their sizes are the same.  I purchased baker's twine from cutetape.com - it is supposedly the same twine that the bakeries use on the cake and pie boxes that you buy at the grocery store bakery.  If you can help me out with this, I would very much appreciate it.  Thank you so much.  :)

  2. My #3 thread feels smaller than the twine. But, I think they are close enough that you could use one for the other. I think the feel might come from the maerial the #3 is made of.

  3. Size 3 mercerized cotton crochet thread is the largest size - thicker than kite string, but not as heavy as the balls of white twine at the hardware store. Probably very close in size to the baker's twine you have. Hope that helps, otherwise you might end up making a trip to Wal-Mart to compare :-)
