~ Two on Tuesday ~

Two things that make me smile:

*  finding 'new to me' crochet blogs to enjoy - here are a few:
   - One Sheepish Girl
   - Shari's Crochet Handmade Gifts
   - Paper, Wool and Yarn

* checking the mail and finding something new to play with - I bought these from Christy of 'Crochet Happiness' :

  4. oh cool, I had something like this when I was a kid and even my father "played" with it: he glued a very long knitted tube to a big piece of PVC, forming the tube to a tight spiral, then he cut the edges of the PVC so you could only see the oval or circle-shaped fabric spiral - this way he made colorful rugs.

  7. When I was a little girl someone showed me how to make one of those knitters by using a wooden spool and 4 metal brads. I still have 2 of them. They were just so much fun for a small girl who wanted to learn to make things. Now of course they no longer put thread on wooden spools and they have all sorts of plastic thingy ma bobs, lol, but fun can still be found playing around with one of them no matter how old you are..
