(who's old lady hands are those?)
This pattern was an easy one to crochet until I got to the top part. Jeez - that was tricky. I crocheted it with Red Heart classic blue variegated and a 'J' hook. I also lined it. The purse handles were salvaged from a thrift store purse that I bought for $1.90. The lining was hot glued in - and yes, that works out fine - I've done it before and the lining is still holding strong.
Here's the link to the pattern for the bag:

It is such a lovely bag. The color combination is very nice. Great for such warm days:)
ReplyDeleteThank you Yao. :)
DeleteI love the bag - it's really cute. I have some old handles around here somewhere and was thinking of making one for my daughter. A question though - did you double up your RHSS yarn or is it just one strand throughout the bag?
ReplyDeleteThanks Cris. I crocheted it with 1 strand (I used the J hook because I crochet tight.) :)

ReplyDeleteLove that granny bag. I saw the pattern or something similar awhile back and made a mental note to put it on my to-do list. Oh for heavens sake, how did you know to make it for me in my very favorite color (LOL,just kidding of course). You should be able to get all kinds of compliments on your finished project and the top looks great even though you had some troubles getting it to turn out for you. I think it looks perfect!
