~ how embarrassing & a change ~

I was checking my stats and clicked on one of the links to check it out.  How embarrassing is this? - someone said my 'wiggles preemie baby blankie' looks like a bathmat.  Well - it is a little funny.  Just a little.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm kinda slowing down with the baby blankies I'm crocheting, so I decided to also crochet little hats.  I will mostly be making the hats, but I'll always have a blankie in the making.  It's been a little while since I've made a donation to the pregnancy center, so I need to get busy.
Thanks for popping in - have a good evening.  :)
  1. Remind me not to take a bath at their house! :-O
    I saw some cute crocheted baby hats today with a big flower pinned on them. Naturally I said, "I can make that."
  2. Some people have no tact. I think your little blanket looks like a blanket. If they thought it would would also make a bath mat then they could have worded it differently. I look on your sidebar and see 102 patterns that you have offered up to people for free, and 4 for sale. Some folks cruise around and only take without regard for all the work that goes into designing a pattern or making up a recipe. The word "ignorant" comes to mind right up there next to "hurtful". You hang in there. A lot of people come here and love you, myself included!
  3. I think it's very pretty Debi. I suppose you could make it out of double strands of cotton and use for a bath mat like some people do with doily patterns.
  5. Hi Debi! Now it's me who's a little bit embarrased, because I'm following the links in my stats all the time (I'm the curious type) *gg*
    What I don't understand: why is the girl taking your link to a forum to ask other people, instead of just asking you here right away how you made this blanket? It's not like you had ever bitten anyone who asked a question here - at least not as far as I know :)
    Looking forward to the little hats!!
    hugs,
    Barbara
  7. I was thinking the same thing as Sharon; it could be used as a bath matt if you doubled (or tripled) your yarn, but I think it's a cute baby blanket. Have a wonderful Sunday. Heather
  8. Just love your Baby Blankie! The bright colors and the fact that they are in 3d, the baby will try to grab the rufles. So comfort and interaction for a baby, a great idea! You can almost see chubby little hands trying to squish those ruffles. Well done!
