I crocheted this little monkey for my little monkey James. Actually, James is not really all that little - he's only about a foot and a half shorter than me. He's only 6 years old though, so he's still my 'little' monkey.
I found the pattern for this 'little bigfoot monkey' on the blog 'Amigurumi To Go!'. She has lots of other ami patterns there you can browse thru and they're all very cute.
Have a great day everyone. :)

That is one cute monkey!! Thanks for the pattern link.
ReplyDeleteLove.
Thanks Sangeetha. :)
Deletevery cute! Did you enjoy making it? I started a giraffe about a month ago and just can't bring myself to finishing it! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Barbara. If I have to be honest, no - I really didn't enjoy crocheting it. There's just too many parts and the parts are small so I had a hard time with my fingers holding onto everything. The sewing was a pain too. James will love it though, so it will all be worth the trouble. :)
DeleteHey Deb that monkey is really cute, I bet James will def love it. Do you want to go to Walmart with me and Mom today?
ReplyDeleteSo cute! It's a pitty you didn't enjoy making it. There are so many lovely amigurumipatterns on the web... But everyone has his own favorite hobby's and it has to be fun to do :-)
ReplyDeleteSo cute Debi, I have to agree I find amigurumi a pain too but the finished result is always worth the effort, I bet James will love it :)
ReplyDeleteSoooo cute, Debi! I'm sure your little monkey will love it. I'm with you on the making of these things though. They're adorable, but can be a pain to work with. All the tiny things to sew together. Anyhoo, you did an awesome job! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is SO CUTE, Debi!! And I don't think I've seen this pattern yet. What a cute little face on him!.... Have a great weekend! ~tina
ReplyDeleteSoooo cute!! :) I find amigurumi cute but difficult to work with because of small parts as you say. My daughter gets excited seeing those and insists on creating one for her. I feel I am doing injustice to her with such excuses. Perhaps, I must scale the pattern to a bigger size and then try. I hope it is possible to scale.
ReplyDeleteOhhhhhh My Gosh Mrs Debi .......this so adorable....I love monkeys ....for me ,they are so funny and cute....I love this one...lovely , lovely monkey.Enjoy your weekend ! "0)

Very cute monkey for the monkey. I have a monkey too, but he's my husband. hehe. His baby photo looks exactly like a monkey. I should make him one of these. :-) Thanks for sharing.
