~~ yes or no? ~~

I found another 'new to me' blog to explore via 'Did You Make That?'  It's pretty nice.  :)

I crocheted that hat for Erica that I showed you a few days ago.  I used Bernat Softee Chunky with an 'L' hook and I don't like it.  I believe that because I crochet so tight, it came out really stiff.  I'm going to take it apart and use the yarn to crochet a basket.  As for Erica's hat - I bought a skein of Lion Brand Homespun from AC Moore yesterday that I will use for that.  I will be using the same pattern:

and I want to be clear when I say that it's not the pattern that I don't like - it's because I crocheted the yarn too tight.  The pattern is just right - very easy to read and crochet.  :)

  3. Would love to see the sleeves on a crocheted top/sweater/vest . . with not as much flair . .so I guess it is one thumb up and one down.

  4. A no for me. I don't go for bright colors so maybe if it was in more muted tones I would like it.

  5. Where do you find these pictures? Not something I'd wear, but maybe someone would. LOL. Looking forward to seeing your daughter's hat in Homespun. Heather

    1. Hi Heather. I'm finding these pictures on Pinterest. There's a lot more I'd like to post, but I don't want to stir up a mess of trouble. :)

  15. Hmmm, not too sure about the sleeves. The idea is good. Maybe if they were a bit less and with better gypsy colours, possibly. I would have it as a bolero or tunic top though and for the garment to be all knitted. Not fond of the way they just added knitted sleeves to a fabric body.

There's a lot of nice pretty things on Pinterest. There's also a lot of naff tat, too.
