Two things that make me smile:
* getting a sneak peak at my great-nephew who will be here soon. Just look at that handsome little face. (isn't technology amazing?) :)
* watching an old episode of 'Simon and Simon' and catching a glimpse of a granny blanket. I like that it's actually being used and not just laying on the back of a couch.

I was able to see my new granddaughter this way too! Granny afghan will always be around!
ReplyDeleteI loved Simon and Simon and I remember how popular Granny blankets were (they're always popular to us crocheters). They say styles come back around every 20 years. I wonder if Granny blankets will make a huge come back soon?
ReplyDeleteSo cool what they can do these days before a baby is born. they never had that when I was expecting my girls. I love it when I see an afghan or quilt used as a prop in a show or movie. Little House on the Prairie and the Waltons had a few things that one could catch a glimpse of now and then.

Carol and I sort of hit a wall with our tech problems at our original blog site and it was so frustrating! Things appear to be working well at the new site and we are feeling hopeful. It's funny, I have recently been noticing a lot of crochet items on TV...pillows and shawls and throws. Lol. Never really paid much attention before. :-)
