Here's the link to a great collection of crocheted ladies. There's no information on the page except to say that they were crocheted by Julia Ustinova.

HI Deb, These ladies made me smile..and yes I am not a fan of the name either.
ReplyDeleteThese are too funny. Just imagine the time and work that went into these. I can not imagine. Here is her Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/yulia.ustinova.3

DeleteDebi omgoodness that is too funny. That is not a nice name I agree with you. I didn't know someone can do that with yarn.
ReplyDeleteTerrific!
ReplyDeleteI don't know how they talked me into being the model... :-) Flying fatties...I think it's cute.
ReplyDeleteOkay, so did someone use me as a model, lol, can I sue over this, lol.....heavens, Debi, I thought maybe you had given up on all the cute things you have been making and took up yarn sculpture, whewwwwwwwww
ReplyDelete(((HUGS))) Susanne :)
I think they're fab and have no problem with the name. it's putting it out there that a lot of women are shaped like women, not little boys! I'm a flying fattie and proud.
ReplyDeleteDeb, I found your wonderful blog through Bev Matheson's blog over a year ago, have enjoyed reading everything you've written. But now, Bev's blog One Yarn After Another is missing, do you know where she is now? alice in Flagstaff, AZ
ReplyDeleteHi Alice. I don't know what happened. I just went and clicked to go to her blog and it says that the blog has been removed. I hope everything is ok.
DeleteThank you for writing, I'll do some more searching today, I've checked Pinterest, Hooky, and also F.Book but nothing has turned up, she's on all of these sites but nothing about a new blog. Maybe one of your other bloggers know something. I'll check back later tonite. a.
DeleteI went searching for these on Pinterest when an old friend of mine from my teenage years asked if I could make one for his wife.....the one with the bikini on. I didn't find a pattern, although I'd love to so I can try my hand at them too.
