~ my favorite daughter strikes again ~

Yes - my favorite daughter Erica has struck again.  She dropped in last night after work and gave me a six pack of the limited edition blue Ball mason jars.

She knows how I am with jars, so when she saw these on an end-cap at Target she picked them up for me.

Now I will have fun figuring out what to do with them.  I already know that I will be making a drinking glass out of one of them to take to the campground with me.  Maybe plant a succulent in one - make one a candle holder - fill some with craft stuff - I don't know, we'll see.

eta:  April from 'The Left Side of Crochet' has found the blue mason jars at Walmart.  She found them in the paper crafting section, and they are being sold for $1.97 each.  :)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I've been working on the aqua and grey baby blankie, but it's slow going.  After I've crocheted for a little more than an hour, my right upper arm starts to feel weak and that bothers me, so I have to stop and take a break.  I don't know what's going on - this is something new.  I do sleep on my right side with my arm under my pillow, so maybe that has something to do with it.  After all these years - my arm is finally telling me that I need to change positions.
As always - thanks for dropping by and I hope you all have a great day.  :)
    Problems with shoulders, arms and neck..... we crocheters need a break from time to time, but we don't want to.
  16. The jars are an amazing shade of blue, how pretty! What a sweet daughter to buy you something so useful. I bet you will come up with something clever to fill them with. Sorry to hear you are having some aches and pains with your arm. I understand, these past 2 years I have been having arthritis pain in my hands. I mention it to my doctor and they (the last one and the present one) inform me that is a common place for arthritis, especially the thumbs and index fingers.....okay, so now that I have that bit of info from them, what is to be done about it other than being given something to suppress the immune system. My husband's troubles all started with aching hands and going to see a rheumatologist. It all snowballed from there. I do the gin and golden raisin thing and it helps a bit, but nothing takes the pain away. I hope you recover soon. I seem to be reading a lot of blogs where here lately the knitters and crocheters are having hand troubles. Take care my friend. Hopefully better days ahead for you.
    As always,
    Susanne :)
    1. Thanks Susanne. Sorry to hear about the arthritis in your hands. Does Advil or Tylenol give you any relief? I'm thinking that's what I'm gonna have to do - just take Tylenol for the pain. That's what my Dr. usually tells me to do anyway. Or maybe I can try a heated rice bag. I use that on my neck sometimes and it helps a lot. It's heck getting up in age. :)
