~ body bath scrubbie ~

Finished up this body bath scrubbie last night while watching "The First 48" crime shows.  It took me 2 evenings to crochet this thing.  Rnds 4 and 5 take like 50 years to crochet - I thought I'd never get done with it.

I used 'I Love This Yarn' acrylic for this.  I didn't have enough of one color of cotton, so I figured I'd try the acrylic to see how it will work.  It should work out ok - the only thing I wonder about is how long it will take to dry.  I guess I'll find out.  :)

eta:  used the scrubbie at night - it's still wet in the morning.  I think it needs a little less ruffles.

Here's a picture of my dogs Tex and Ladybug.  (I could never be a professional photographer - I didn't even notice my reflection was on the door glass.)

  2. I didn't notice the reflection at first either. I was busy looking at the cute doggies and admiring your watermelon slices. I just love them! Are they pieces of wood?

    1. Hi D'Anne. The pattern is the same as this one I posted in 2009 - except for Rnd 1 in which I crocheted 12 dc instead of 6 sc:

  6. Love the colours Debi, I would think that acrylic would dry out quicker than cotton, would be interested to know how it works with the acrylic. :)

  9. You make me laugh, I'm sure your dogs didn't mind sharing the spotlight with you, lol, and your scrubbie is cute. I bet you could use doily thread and make all sorts of cute little bitty ones for Christmas decorations.

  16. Very nice :-)I like the two colors together. I made one of those a while back, but haven't used it. Mine was all acrylic so it would be a little scratchy. Now I'm curious how long it would take to dry.
Thanks for sharing your pups with us :-)
    Blessings!
