~ 'simply pretty' pattern correction ~

I was alerted to the fact that my 'simply pretty' square pattern was not written right, so I immediately took it down to work on it.  I have to tell you - this really kicked my butt.  For some reason I just couldn't think straight.  I tried for 3 days to re-write, but all I had in my head was gibberish.  I think I got it right now, but if you find a problem, please let me know.

If you had printed this pattern out before - you'll have to re-print.

Sorry for the troubles ladies.

  2. I think the hardest process of designing patterns is writing them up. I read and re-read but trying to get into someone else's head and how they would understand what you are trying to say can be difficult. I am currently writing up my Trio of baby sweaters pattern right now, been working on it far too long and it is all swimming together now. When that happens, I put it aside to look at it fresh another day haha. Thanks for taking the time to correct yours.

  3. It can sure be frustrating when your mind is mush and you are trying so hard to think straight. I know that feeling. Maybe cause we are all living our lives in overdrive and trying to do everything at once. Step back, smell the roses, take a walk, or take a nap. Sometimes we just need to put our thoughts elsewhere for a bit. You stay so busy it is a wonder you can think straight at all.

  4. Oh!! I did not know about it. Don't be too hard on yourselves, Debi!! I have made things wrong even when a pattern was right and I didn't bother to correct it. But yes, since many follow your tutorials so its natural for you to redo it if someone required a correction.
Your blog header looks very pretty !! :) not sure, when you changed it but I noticed it today. It aptly describes your day around you......but I guess you missed one thing....you may add your and Vince's image on bike too;)

  5. This is a very pretty lacy square and Debi, I agree with the others, don't be too harsh on yourself. You are a sweetheart to share your patterns with other crocheters:) So thank you again!

  6. I've used this pattern several times and never noticed... I either autocorrected or read it incorrectly from the start. I'm glad it's back, though, as it's one of my favorites!
