~ ok - I'm doing it ~

I've decided that I'm going to join in the 'crochet mood blanket 2014'.  (this link is for the facebook page - you'll have to join before you can see the posts).

I first saw it on Trish's blog 'Tales from Trish' - and then I saw it on Holly Louise's blog 'Crafty Holly Louise'.  I've been going back and forth on whether I wanted to join or not, but I finally made up my mind.  I'm gonna do it.

My blanket will be made of stripes - a sc row, a hdc row and then a dc row.  My moods and colors are:

* happy = pink
* grouchy = lavender
* bored = off-white
* sick/pain = grey
* tired = blue
* I'm ok/content = aqua
* creative/productive = lime
* sad/pensive = yellow

I most likely will feel more than one mood each day, so I will just choose one for that day by using the scientific method of 'eenie, meenie, mynie, moe'.  :)

I missed the first 2 weeks, so I need to catch up.  I had to use my memory and my blog to see how I was feeling each day - good thing I post a lot.

I will post updates about my mood blanket on Mondays and I will call it 'Moody Monday'.

Thanks for dropping by ladies - have a great crochet day.  :)

  1. I like your scientific method and your theme for Moody Mondays. :-) Sounds like a fun project. If I had yarn on hand, I'd do it too, but I just have cotton and baby yarn at the apartment (until we get moved). Good luck, looking forward to following your progress. Heather

  2. Yes, I've seen a lot of posts about the mood blanket. I have enough on my plate to finish so I'm not participating in this one, but I look forward to seeing your progress. I hope to see lots of pink, aqua and lime stripes :-)

  4. That's an interesting project to do !! Also, how differently each one of us map our mood to colors, right ? You have yellow for pensive and for me it stands for happy : ) I will watch your Monday moods ;)

  6. I have so much going on and never seem to get anything accomplished. I guess it is just the time of year that is bogging me down so I know how you are feeling with all those emotions. This is a difficult time with the weather being what it is and I know that you and your hubby also suffered loss last year around these weeks. I am looking at this Saturday, my birthday and the 1 year anniversary of my husband's passing. I have had each and every one of those moods hit me since before Christmas. It is good to stay busy and to do what you can for your own well being. If joining a group gives you more balance and peace in your daily life then I say go for it girl. I am like the broken record, once again making another heart bobble blanket but this time I am changing it up a bit. I am not making heart blocks, I am doing one big crib size one so I don't have to sew blocks together while ripping my hair out in the process, lol.
    Keep warm, keep happy,
    (((HUGS))) Susanne :)

  11. Good for you, Debi! :) I was going to do the Moogly afghan block crochet along, but decided against it. I didn't really enjoy making the first square, and when I got to thinking that I might not enjoy some of the others for the year, I decided to skip it. I'll make whatever blocks I want to, whenever I want to. LOL Anyhoo, it will be fun watching your afghan grow stripe by stripe! :)
