~ Scrappy hat, scrappy hat ~

I don't know why, but every time I say 'scrappy hat, scrappy hat', I think of Phoebe on 'Friends' singing 'smelly cat'.  Ha-ha, now that I've got that song in your head - here's my new scrappy hat that I finished up last night.

and my scraps jar (which is a big giant pickle jar):

It's ok - you can tell me what you really think (just be nice please).  Would you make this?  Would you wear it, or know someone who would?  I tried it on last night and it didn't look all that bad.  :)

  1. Now smelly car will be stuck in my head all day! I love your hat. I'd wear it proudly! I also like your scrap jar. I should do that! I want to make a pillow from my scraps. Happy New Year!

    1. Thanks Charlotte. :)

I think a lot of people are slowly giving up on the blogging thing - or just not leaving comments anymore. Which is a shame in my opinion - I love blogging about my crochet stuff and seeing others crochet stuff too.

  3. I think it's cute. I don't wear hats though (I've never looked good in hats). I usually put a scarf over my head if it's really cold, or if my jacket has a hood, I'll use that. Happy new year. :-)

  6. What a marvellous scrappy hat (Phoebe style) and a great use of scrap yarn. The scarp jar is very colourful too, it is so nice that even the smallest amounts of yarn don't go to waste x

  8. Oh no, now it's stuck in my head, too! That's it; someone musical needs to come up with words to a new song titled "Scrappy Hat". It'll be much better to sing!
I love your hat, it's so colorful :-) I don't wear hats much but I like things with lots of colors. And your scrap storage solution is great!
    Blessings :-)

  11. Sure Debi, I would wear it, but only if you were wearing one too and standing right beside me, lol. It is cute and so colorful. You know me, I am all about using up scraps and this is another perfect way of doing that. You and I are up the same alley when it comes to inventive uses for large and small jars. I have a few myself, one filled with ribbon scraps and another with lace.
