  4. That's a bummer about the scarf, but the washi tape is cute. Your next scarf will be awesome, can't wait to see it! and Happy Birthday to your husband! (Today is my mom's b-day and mine is on thursday!) Enjoy your cake and ice cream.

  5. Hi Debi, A very Happy Birthday to Vince. So sorry about your scarf. Would it not be possible to unravel till the end of the tear then take the stitches on circular knitting needles and knit till 58 inches. I too prefer crochet to knitting but it might get your scarf to the length you want. Just an idea.....
    Love

    1. Thanks Sangeetha - I'll pass on the Birthday wish to Vince. I thought about your idea, but I don't know how to knit. I'm just gonna go ahead and give this one to my brother. I'll start another one for Bobby. :)

  6. Oh that's so frustrating for you!!! I can feel the pain. :(
I wonder if you could have used a crochet hook to bring the dropped stitches back up, but I can understand you couldn't attempt it if you don't knit yourself, I'm just musing the idea.
I hope all goes well with the next scarf anyhow and that it was just a blib which won't be repeated.

The tape looks really cute on it anyhow.

Take care Debi and hope you get a relaxing nice time and can go back to the next scarf feeling positive.

    :)

  8. Happy Birthday to Vince. How dis-heartening to come so close to the required length and then to have something go wrong, I would be upset too. At least you can salvage pretty much all of it and give it to someone else. Hang in there.

  9. I'm loving your videos Debi - hope you keep them up. I have a knitting machine like your Innovations but mine is called a Prym (same thing I think). I've had mine for a few years now and got into a terrible mess with my first attempt. Haven't tried anything since but your videos are motivating me to give it another try. I love the idea of scarves on it. By the way, a friend of mine also has one and she got a big tall plastic laundry basket and got her husband to cut a hole in the bottom of it. She places it upside down and that is her 'table' for the knitting machine.

    1. Thanks Dorothy. When you do give your knitting machine another try, make sure to check out the videos on YouTube. There are very helpful ones there. Good idea for the laundry basket - I'll have to keep an eye out for a sturdy one. :)

  10. Hi Mrs Debi ....I guess we both are going thru the same ....same thing it had happen to me like a couple days ago....I gues ...when dealing with this machine we can't do nothing else.....just paying a close attention to the stitches and the needles in the machine .......it is very frustrating ...I was so mad that I had order the Addi Machine too.....will see when I will get it....I want to knit one way or the other.....Thanks for the video.
Happy Birthday to your husband...have fun... ;)
