~ cleaning house ~

I cleaned out my blog list by un-following at least 20 blogs that have either stopped blogging, closed their blog or have changed their blog to 'invited readers' only.  Where has everyone gone?

And I've deactivated my Pinterest account.  Don't really use that anymore.

I'm also going to head on over to Facebook and deactivate my 'Dly's HooksandYarns' page.  I don't like Facebook and I don't really use that either.

This is my computer Spring cleaning.  :)

  1. Hey Debi! I bet I'm one of them. Tis ok. I totally understand. Priorities change. I did post on my Winged Heart Creations the other day. The first post since I started it. Hope life with you is good. I have you on my bloglovin, like a few other bloggers I still read occasionally. Happy Friday Eve! xo

  2. It's sad when a blog you're following stops blogging. :( I had to do some clearing up on the blog roll as well a couple months ago and probably will again soon. There are about 6 blogs I check daily because I know they post at least every day or two (yours is one of them). The rest I've started checking only once every week or three, because they only post once a month or less.

  3. I have a zillion blogs that I am following on Bloglovin but I only read about 5 ! I am obsessive about that! Love my Facebook because I "meet" other crocheters. I really should scale back also.

  4. Yes, I've noticed a lot of bloggers are slowing down on their posts or disappearing altogether. Lives change and time is so finite. But it's sad; it's like losing a friend.
I didn't know you had a Facebook account, but I'm never on there. I'm addicted to Pinterest, though.

  5. Every now and then I'll do some house cleaning too. If someone hasn't posted in 6 months, they're off my list and into a folder on my favorites where they languish for a year and I permanently delete if they haven't started blogging again. I wonder about the private ones. I used to love a few blogs and they became private.

  6. Boy, I don't do Pinterest or Facebook! (I never warmed up to Facebook). 'Just follow eight crochet blogs and THIS is one of my favorites. Crochet blogs inspire me and I get so many wonderful ideas from them. They are a source of comfort to me. I know it takes time to maintain a blog. You are very appreciated, Debi. (( hug ))

  7. It's been forever since I wrote anything but I still look at everyone's things. Maybe this weekend I will catch everyone up on what I have been up to. Lots of fun things..

  8. Great idea for Spring cleaning Debi! Good for you! I think some bloggers may get hit with bad stuff and it scares them so they close their blog. It's sad. I am glad you are still blogging!

I'm also a Pinterest addict. Get most of my recipes and decorating inspiration form there.

  9. That sounds like a good Spring cleaning activity. There are many blogs abandonded. I don't like Facebook to much either, only use it to keep in touch with some friends and to let them know when I have a new post. For that it is handy. Still like Pinterest though.
And I like you blog Debi:)
Hope you will have a lovely weekend!

  13. Funnily enough, I'm trimming down my blog list too. It's always a bit sad when people stop blogging, especially without any warning. I think that many bloggers now reside on Instagram, preferring the quick and instant photo sharing, rather than the show and tell of a blog.

  15. I've found myself in a place where I just don't have the time to blog!! Work has been crazy busy, and I find myself mostly catching up and posting to Facebook only (since I'm running 5, yes FIVE!! business pages on Facebook!)

still working to add blog reading to my lunch hour as I still love to see everything everyone else has gone on. Hopefully one day soon I can at least blog again on the weekends - I'm definitely still crocheting!!!
