~ the yarn emergency is over ~

Got the yarn I needed from AC Moore:

* 2 skeins of 'baby pink'
* 2 skeins of ' petal pink'
* 1 skein of 'turqua'

Got stuff I didn't need from Tuesday Morning:

* a 3 pack of Shimmer - color is 'cherries jubilee'
* a small scrapbook kit
* 2 packs of bottle cap magnets to decorate

I'm happy now.  :)

    1. Hi Niki. I paid $5.99 for the Shimmer yarn. The Tuesday Morning store I go to does not have a big selection - actually, it's quite small. I guess I just show up at the right time to get the good stuff. :)

  6. Glad to see the crisis is over :-) You found some great things at Tuesday morning; I've been grabbing some of their bargains but never see Red Heart Shimmer at ours.

  7. Lovely yarns, Debi!! Turquoise is my favourite these days. You always buy red heart only. How thick is this yarn?
    I am excited to see what you make with other craft items, especially, the bottle caps :)

    1. Hi Preeti. Red Heart Super Saver is a 4-ply worsted weight yarn - I use either an 'I' hook or a 'J' hook with it. :)

  8. thanks debi. also....do you know or can you ask your readers to answer this question for me...I'm in the USA and wanting to make my FIRST purchase of yarn ONLINE. I want to get the best deal. Best price. Most for my money. But good quality yarn. Not redheart basic. I like I love this yarn. and the impeccable from michaels. or others of that weight/quality. I will make a bigger purchase since I have to pay for shipping. But wanted to throw this out there. Thanks sweetie.

    1. Hi Niki. Both Hobby Lobby (for 'I Love this Yarn!') and Michaels (for Impeccable yarn) sell online. I don't really think the prices are better than the stores though - unless you have a coupon or they maybe offer free shipping. I have ordered from Herrschners a few times and their prices seemed reasonable. :)

  14. Phew!!
    Emergency over. lol
    I wish we could get red heart super saver over here, I'd love to try it.
    I think it's similar weight to our aran yarn but I'm not exactly sure.

    I think we're getting a few red heart yarns making their way across the pond but whether the super saver makes it to our shops is probably doubtful.

    Anyhow, great bargains, well done!!

    :)
