~ a baby cocoon and a doily re-do ~

Good morning ladies.  I finished up the baby cocoon last night.  This one is a little larger than the ones I usually crochet.  It measures 11 1/2" across x 14 1/2" top to bottom.  I used 2 skeins of the Vanna's Tapestry yarn I bought at AC Moore a little bit ago.  The color is called 'Peru'.

I also re-crocheted a border onto one of the doilies I have hanging on my craft room shelf.  I took off the pink border and removed 2 buttons, then crocheted on a yellow border and replaced the 2 buttons with a yellow one and a pink one.  This is the doily before:

this is what it looks like now:

The pattern is from here - http://item.rakuten.co.jp/gosyo/amikomo3-13/

That's it for now - see ya next time.  :)

  1. Love the pattern the variegated yarn makes on the cocoon. I agree, the doily looks better with the yellow. Have a great weekend.

  2. Both projects are pretty Debi. The yellow border looks nice against the off white yarn. I haven't seen that colorway in Vanna's, but what yarn I've bought lately, I've bought on-line. Have a happy Friday! Heather
