~ 2 projects ~

Good morning everyone.  Here are a couple projects that I have completed.
First up is a scrappy granny rectangle baby blanket.  I crocheted it with various 4-ply worsted weight acrylic yarns.
I have a basket of yarn balls next to the couch where I sit in the evenings, and I would just reach over and grab one to work each round.  Not one color came from new stash.

Second up is this little monkey.  I'm not sure what to call this - a lovey, a cuddle blanket - I don't know.
To me, it just looks like a monkey wearing a skirt.

I think I will find a small soft baby doll to fit in the middle instead of this monkey.

I saw an idea somewhere on the internet (and now I can't remember where) where you crochet around an elastic hairband with sc's and move on from there.
I think it's a great idea, and if I ever find it again, I'll be sure to let ya'll know.

Well, that's all for now.
I'll see ya'll next time.  :)

  3. I like the baby doll idea. I googled "crochet around hair band" and there is even a video out there. Or "crochet around elastic hairband". Now if I could just remember all of this when I'm ready to start a new project! Love the blanket. I need to crochet more. Have way too much yarn! Thanks for the ideas!
