Popcorn garland

Here's a quick and easy way to crochet a popcorn garland:

Materials:

- 4-ply ww acrylic yarn (I used Red Heart) - I don't really have a specific amount - I just took a 7 oz. skein of white and started crocheting
- I crochet hook

Popcorn stitch: (3 dc in 4th ch from hook, remove hook from loop, insert hook in top of ch 3 and in dropped loop, pull dropped loop through ch 3.)

Directions:

Ch 4, popcorn st, * ch 10, popcorn st. Repeat from * as many times as you want to get the length you need.

***I have finished with my garland - 7 oz. of yarn will make approximately 25 yds.***

Black bag

I originally intended this bag to be a purse, but it came out too big. It measures 12" x 8" x 6 1/2". I will use it as a project bag instead. I also need to get some handles at Joann's and sew them on.
Materials:
- 13 oz. ww yarn (I used Red Heart Super Saver)
- L hook
- purse handles
- 2 pieces of plastic canvas same size as bag bottom
Size: 12" x 8" x 6 1/2"
Notes:
- use 2 strands held together throughout
- I crochet tight, so you may want to adjust your hook size
Directions:
Row 1: Ch 17, sc in 2nd ch from hook. Sc in each remaining ch. Ch 1, turn.
Rows 2 - 32: Sc in each sc across. Ch 1, turn. At end of Row 32, do not ch 1 or turn.
Rnd 33: Now working around bottom piece, sc evenly around with 3 sc in each corner st. Do not join, mark 1st st with a stitch marker.
Rnd 34: Working this rnd in back loops, sc in each sc around.
**All following rnds will be worked in both loops.**
Rnds 35 - 41: Sc in each sc around.
Rnd 42: (Dc , ch 1, dc) in 1st sc, skip next 2 sc. *(Dc, ch 1, dc) in next sc, skip next 2 sc. Repeat from * around.
Rnd 43: Sc in each dc and ch 1 space around.
Rnds 44 - 45: Sc in each sc around.
Rnds 46 - 52: Repeat Rnds 42 - 45.
Rnd 53: Reverse sc in each sc around. End off.
-Cut 2 pieces of plastic canvas the same size as the bag bottom. Sew them together and place in the bag.
-Sew on purse handles.
