ReplyDeleteVery nice square! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThe square is wonderful. Do you agree, I translate the pattern in Dutch and show it on my blog, making a link to your blog? The pattern is not difficult but it has a great effect! Thank you in advance for reply!
ReplyDeleteThank you Anna. Yes - you have my permission to translate this pattern and post it on your blog with a link to here. Thank you for asking. :)
DeleteDear Debi,
DeleteThank you very much for your reply and permission to translate the pattern in Dutch from a square in a square. I do like this pattern and I think all Dutch crocheting ladies. I will make a link to your blog! The open shell pattern also is very nice.
Lovely greetings from Anna (Holland).
Gosh, I love it. How do you get all these lovely ideas? :D
ReplyDeleteThanks Madeleine. Sometimes they just pop into my head and sometimes I have to do a little thinking. :)
DeleteHello Debi,
ReplyDeleteAgain a good pattern of a pretty square! Thank you for sharing this with us:)
Saved this pattern to do in future. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteThe printable version of your pattern is really well done. Thanks for making it so easy to borrow your pattern. Margaret
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome Margaret. :)
DeleteI love this pattern. I pinned it a few weeks ago and now I am using it to make my husband a Tetris blanket. I gave you the credit on my blog. http://mymethodtothismadness.com/
ReplyDeleteThanks Mattea. I went and looked at your blanket - it's looking very nice. :)
DeleteThanks ladies. :)
ReplyDeleteDebi, Thanks to Pinterest I discovered this lovely design. I was working on something vaguely similar for a shamrock granny on my new craft blog (just what we need - another craft blog). I like your design so much I used it instead and would like permission to post it on my blog with a direct link to this post. I will not post the directions on my blog, as it's silly (and bad art) to re-write perfectly good pattern directions. Besides, I want people to be sure to see your blog. The goal of my blog is to help my friends learn new craft skills and part of that is to provide connections to quality sites like yours. Sincerely, Niki - thelittlecrafthouse.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your kind words Niki. Of course, you have my permission to post about the square on your blog - I'm glad that you like it so much. (I'm going to pop over to your blog for a visit.) :)
DeleteI can't seem to find your blog Niki - I did a google search and nothing comes up.
DeleteAhhhhh. I'm sorry. I didn't give you my blog's correct address. It is thelittlehandcrafthouse.blogspot.com. (I left out the word "hand"). I am just starting this one, so there isn't much on it yet. I did become a follower of your blog today. Have a lovely weekend.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty square! Thank you very much! :)

ReplyDeleteDo you have any special instructions for joining these lovely blocks together. Might use this for the new grandbaby who is on the way.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.

Hi LeArta. This is my favorite way to join squares:
Deletehttp://knitting-crochet.wonderhowto.com/how-to/join-granny-squares-with-crochet-flat-brain-joining-233233/
you have to watch all 4 videos. :)
Love this! :-)
ReplyDeleteokay .. so I see the square.. where is the rest of the pattern?
ReplyDeleteThe yellow square is the square within the white square - hence the name 'square in a square'.
DeleteI love this square - I like a lot of your stuff. This might just be the square I need for a new lapghan. So pretty.
ReplyDeletei wonder if you could send me the instructions on celtic lace joining?
ReplyDeleteHi Patrice. I had no idea what celtic lace joining was, so I googled it. Here is a link to the instructions:

ReplyDeleteWhat perfect timing that I came across your blog and this particular pattern today - I am in need of a new pattern and just found the prettiest colors ON SALE that I wanted to use in a baby blanket - thank you, thank you, thank you! :)
ReplyDeleteOh how pretty! I love it...thank you for sharing your talent. :)
ReplyDeleteIn MY DAY, I have made many blankets & BABY blankets using this GRANNY SQUARE pattern.
ReplyDeleteUnless 'your day' was in 2012, I seriously doubt that. Thank you.
DeleteActually I used this pattern in the early 90's. These patterns are always going around. But a beautiful blanket.
DeleteHi Patricia. I would very much like to see a picture of the square that you used.
DeleteBack in the early 90's I made baby blankets like this.... My grandmother patterns are never knew just refurbished. Nice blanket!!
ReplyDeleteHello. I would very much like to see a close-up picture of the square that you crocheted back in the 90's.
DeleteThank you for sharing your pattern, what a great square to do.
ReplyDeleteThank you for a lovely square. I am using it as part of a sampler blanket for a new Great Granddaughter. I've adapted it to be an 8" square in keeping with what I am using. Keep them coming.
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely pattern. I nade it in one colour and it's turned out really nice. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteThank You!
ReplyDeleteThank you a beautiful square that I intend to use in white Aran for a bedcover.
