~ an icicle ~

Materials:
- small amount white 4-ply worsted weight acrylic
- I hook

Size:  6" long

Directions:
Rnd 1:  Ch 4, 2 dc in 4th ch from hook, ch 2.  *3 dc in same ch, ch 2.  Repeat from * 2 more times.  Join with a sl st to top of ch 3.  Ch 1, turn.

Rows 2 - 4:  Sl st over to ch-2 space.  (ch 3, 2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in same space.  Ch 1, turn.

Rows 5 - 6:  Sl st over to ch-2 space.  (ch 3, 1 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in same space.  Ch 1, turn.

Row 7:  Sl st over to ch-2 space.  Ch 5, sl st in 3rd ch from hook, ch 3, sl st in ch-2 space.  End off.

    oh how cute...the idea is brilliant and I think that's (just for me!) also a wonderful key ring decoration...i have to crochet this cute icicle! Thousand thanks for the great tutorial.

  11. These are adorable~thank you for sharing your creativity!! I have just made one in thread while sitting here and love it. Now I'm off to make some more on this dreary day~one that's perfect for cozying up with a crochet hook. I have some small crystal teardrop beads that I'm going to try using for the bottom point instead of the last few chains. It doesn't look quite right in thread...a bit too bulky, and I think the little sparkle will be nice. Thank you again, look at that~over 4 years and your pattern is still being enjoyed!
