Monday April 21st - 27th: 21st: productive/creative - lime = got lots of things done today 22nd: I'm ok/content - aqua 23rd: happy - pink = a good mood day 24th: I'm ok/content - aqua 25th: happy - pink = another good mood day 26th: tired - blue 27th: productive/creative - lime = housework, crochet stuff
I'm still not sure about the ends, but looking at the blanket and seeing just how many ends there are - I'm leaning toward the fringe idea. What do you think I should do? :)
Monday April 14th - 20th: 14th: I'm ok/content - aqua 15th: sick/pain - grey = feeling like I'm in slow motion for most of the day 16th: irritated/grouchy - lavender = stupid, irritating cable company - they have been charging me for phone service since January, and I do not use them for my phone. The last time the cable man was here, he changed our modem. The phone is included on the modem. I did not know that. From now on I will scrutinize the heck out of the bills they send me. 17th: bored - off white 18th: irritated/grouchy - lavender = went to Giant (grocery store), finished my shopping and walked up to lane 10. I looked up to make sure the lane light was on. I stood in line for a good 5 minutes (maybe more). The lady in front of me turned around and said "the cashier says she's closing after me". I just looked at her for a minute or two because I couldn't believe it, and then said "well, ok" and moved over to lane 9. After standing in that line for a few minutes, another cashier walks up and says to the lady in front of me "Ma'am, I can take you on lane 11". Wait a minute - what about me? I started to get a little irritated then - and I stayed irritated - ruined the rest of my day. 19th: happy - pink = good day out with Vince and Bobby. 20th: happy - pink = Happy Easter!
(see the 2 fireman trying to get into the car window?)
Who in the world calls the fire department because they can't get into their car?
Calls like this is probably why Vince's shed burned down quite a few years back. Glenn Dale Fire Dept. (which is like 15 minutes away) showed up before the Bowie Fire Dept. (which is like 1 minuteaway). When they did finally show up, all they did was tear the walls down and watch it burn - they didn't bring out the water until the end. I felt so bad for Vince - he lost everything.
Well anyways - I'm gonna quit fussing now. I wish you all a great day. :)
Shari and Sharon - you were the winners of my giveaways. I've left comments on your blogs, but I haven't heard from you. Please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org with your mailing addresses.
After thinking about it, I've decided to join Twitter. I've had a few invites from bloggy friends, and I thank you.
If you're on Twitter and would like to follow me - my name is:
Debi Crochets ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I've been surfing around YouTube and watching daily vlogs. Some are boring and some are nice. I've seen a couple by this one guy (and his family) - I won't mention any names - and by the looks of the numbers, his videos are very popular, but for the life of me I can't get through the first 10 minutes. He is a very irritating person. He's also idiotic and a bully. There's another popular vlog with a young couple and a baby. It amazes me that the young lady doesn't realize that her husband is gay. Well, anyways. The reason I'm surfing the computer for shows is because we're getting rid of cable tv. I'm sick to death of paying $142 a month just to watch crap. We will just watch dvd's and stuff on the computer. Anyone else given up cable tv? Let me know how it went for you. Ok - I guess that's it for now. See you next time - and have a great day. :)
- The one in which I forget where I know my friends from. I apologize -
Joyce S. and Linda from 'Linda's Crafty Corner' sent me some beautiful baby items. Joyce sent lots of baby blankies and Linda sent an adorable little baby sweater and baby hats. Thank you both so much - I appreciate your hard work. :)
I cleaned out my blog list by un-following at least 20 blogs that have either stopped blogging, closed their blog or have changed their blog to 'invited readers' only. Where has everyone gone? And I've deactivated my Pinterest account. Don't really use that anymore.
I'm also going to head on over to Facebook and deactivate my 'Dly's HooksandYarns' page. I don't like Facebook and I don't really use that either. This is my computer Spring cleaning. :)
**this giveaway is closed** I haven't done one of these in a long while - so let's do one now.
A couple weeks ago I went to Tuesday Morning and bought a pair of Susan Bates size 15 US (10.00 mm), 14" long knitting needles, and 3 skeins of Red Heart Shimmer yarn - the color is 'lime'. It is a medium size 4, 97% acrylic/3 metallic polyester yarn. Machine wash, tumble dry. Each skein weighs 3.5 oz and a size I (5.5mm) hook is recommended.
If you would like a chance to win this prize - all you have to do is be a follower of my blog and leave a comment on this post only.
I will choose a winner on Sunday, April 6th. Good luck! :)
I know, I know - I had thought that I would try knitting again, but I think I might go with loom knitting instead.
And stay tuned - I might have another giveaway with the pink Pound of Love that I bought since I went back to Tuesday Morning and couldn't resist buying another one. What can I say? - it was half price. :)
* a lovely week spent with the Canada family. Talking, going here and there. Surprisingly - I didn't take pictures. I hope someone caught them in pictures from the wedding.
* my beautiful daughter's wedding on Friday evening. I love this picture of the bridesmaids. I don't know why, but Erica thought it was a good idea to give them knives. The face on Emily (3rd from the right) is priceless. She actually looks like she might hurt you. :)
(Suzanne is kind of scary too) :)
my grandson James using my Innovations knitting machine.
There are a few snags in there, but I think he did a fantastic job. When I donate this to the hospital, I am going to attach a note saying that this was crafted by my 7 yr. old grandson.
