~ I wasted 2 hours of my life last night... ~

...watching 'Sharknado 2: The Second One'.
Oh my God - what is wrong with me? I actually watched the whole movie!
It was awful.
worst... movie... ever...

Every single actor in this movie should be embarrassed.  Especially Tara Reid (she was April, Fin's wife) - just awful.  And Ian Ziering as Fin - awful, awful.  But I do have to say that Judd Hirsch as Ben (the cab driver) was alright - I think he was the best actor in the whole movie.

As I watched, I recognized Fin's brother-in-law, but couldn't place him.  It kept bugging me, so I looked it up.
It's Mark McGrath.
Don't recognize the name?
How about Sugar Ray?

I love that song.

Have a great day ladies.  :)

~ crochet bits ~

Here's my progress on the variegated squares blanket.  Not much, but it's coming along.

I've started a baby blanket working with 2 strands of yarn.  One strand is white and the other is Red Heart Kids in 'playful'.  I'm using an L hook.  It's soft and squishy.

When I was at Joann's getting the outdoor fabric for my porch chairs, I also picked up this bag of red and black yarn.  It's one of those Mill Ends bags, so I don't know what brand it is.  I thought it was interesting - good colors to make a scarf for a man with.

My pattern designing has taken a back seat to everything else that's been going on.  I have to get back to that.  I do have a few ideas floating around my head - just need to do them.  When summer school is over (one more week to go), I'm going to the campground, so maybe I'll get some work done there and have some patterns to share with you when I get back.

Have a great day ladies and I'll see ya next time.  :)

~ Two on Tuesday ~

* a new place to crochet.  Vince and I power washed the front porch and added 2 chairs and a table.  The chairs we bought at the thrift store - I recovered the seats, and Vince made the table for me.

* spending time with my grandson Will.  I'm driving him back and forth to summer school and we get to talk in the morning and in the afternoon.  Will, of course, doesn't like summer school, but it's the price you have to pay sometimes.

~ a link blog ~

I really can't believe that I completely forgot all about the "Did You Make That?" blog.  Did I?  No -   I did see it on my dashboard, but always forgot to go back and start a new post.  Oh well - there's a new one up now if you'd like to go and take a look.  :)

What hook size do you not have in your collection?

* I believe I have them all

How did you learn?

* my sister Teri taught me how to crochet a granny square when I was in high school.  A few years later a friend gave me a refresher, and I've crocheted ever since.

~ 2 small projects ~

Here's another cocoon for a little boy.  (I sewed on the button after I took this picture.)

I used Red Heart Super Saver and a 'J' hook.

Ladybug needed a new neckerchief, so I crocheted a half granny and added ties.

She seems to like it.  :)

Look at this little dude.  He seems to think he's a bird.  :)

I hope you're enjoying your evening.

~ Moody Monday - the final chapter ~

Well ladies - here it is - in all it's glory.

I absolutely love this blanket.  ♥

These are the 'Autumn Berry' flowers from Autumn Berry Crochet.  The pattern can be found on Ravelry here.

Thanks so much for following along, and for all of your lovely comments throughout.

I think I just might do this again next year.  :)

~ a baby cocoon ~

Finished one for the little boys.
I crocheted it with Red Heart Super Saver - I think it was called 'warm brown', and a J hook.
The sc round on the top is Craftsmart yarn from Michaels - it's called 'tumbleweed'.
I thought it needed something, so I glued down and then sewed a heart button to the front.  Just a little bit of cute for a little boy.

Thanks for dropping by - have a great day.  :)
